There is something so special about photographing a family’s very first baby. Parm brought her tiny newborn daughter to my Cloverdale studio for her very first photo session, and it was such a joy to capture these tender memories.

For this session, we styled with soft pinks and warm neutrals—timeless tones that let the beauty of a newborn shine through. Her little girl was absolutely perfect, curling up so sweetly in the textured fabrics and delicate wraps. I love how the combination of pinks and neutrals creates a feminine, classic feel that will never go out of style. Parm sent me several ideas that she was hoping to capture such as baby in the parents hands and a backlit parent snuggle pose. With every newborn session I try my best to capture as many poses that parents request on their Wishlist.

As a first-time mom, Parm was glowing with love and pride, and it was such an honor to preserve these early days for her. These newborn moments are so fleeting, and it’s always meaningful to be trusted with capturing them.
