Harleen’s Newborn Session | Baby Kainaat
There is something so special about welcoming a brand new baby into the family. Tiny fingers, sleepy cuddles, soft newborn cheeks, and those first days that somehow feel both endless and far too short at the same time. Congratulations to Harleen and her family on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Kainaat!
For Kainaat’s newborn session, we kept everything soft and timeless with blush pinks and warm neutrals. The delicate florals, cozy textures, and vintage wooden bowl created such a dreamy setup for this sweet baby girl. She slept so peacefully through many of her poses and looked absolutely adorable curled up amongst the soft fabrics and flowers. Mom brought in an adorable tutu and send me a list of requests which we were able to capture.
As a newborn photographer in Cloverdale and Surrey, I always aim to create images that feel classic and natural. Neutral tones and gentle posing help keep the focus where it belongs, on your baby and the connection your family shares. These are the kinds of portraits that will still feel beautiful years from now when your tiny newborn is suddenly running around the house and heading off to kindergarten.
One of the questions I get asked most often is when should I book my newborn session? The best time to book your newborn photographer is actually while you are still pregnant. Most families reserve their session during the second or third trimester to make sure there is space around their due date. I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month so that I can stay flexible for babies arriving early or late.
The ideal time to photograph your baby is usually within the first couple of weeks after birth. During this stage, newborns are typically sleepier and curl naturally into those cozy posed positions everyone loves. That said, every baby is different and beautiful photos can still happen outside that window too. Baby Kainaat came in for photos at 1 month old and was a dream!
My studio in Cloverdale is designed to be warm, calm, and comfortable for both baby and parents. As a studio photographer and family photographer, I provide wraps, props, headbands, fabrics, and simple timeless setups so parents can relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about bringing a lot with them.
Baby Kainaat was such a joy to photograph and I am so honoured Harleen trusted me to capture these first memories for her growing family.
