Welcoming a brand new baby into the world is such a life changing moment, and it was an absolute joy to capture this special time for Karen and her family.
Congratulations to Karen on becoming a mom and welcoming her beautiful baby boy Soren. There is nothing quite like those first days with your newborn. The love, the wonder, and all the tiny details that you never want to forget.
For this session, Karen came prepared with some truly adorable outfits and a clear vision of the moments she wanted to capture. I always love when parents bring their ideas and inspiration to a newborn session. It allows us to create something that feels personal and meaningful to your family.
Before the session, we worked together to build a wish list. This is one of my favourite parts of the process. It helps me understand what matters most to you, whether it is specific poses, colours, or sentimental items. From there, I plan the session so we can bring those ideas to life in a calm and natural way.
During the session, we took our time and followed baby’s lead. Newborn sessions are never rushed. We pause for feeding, cuddles, and soothing whenever needed. This relaxed approach allows us to safely and gently pose your baby while keeping them comfortable and settled.
I am so happy to say we were able to capture the images Karen had envisioned most, along with some beautiful unexpected moments. Those extra in between shots often end up being favourites. A tiny stretch, a peaceful expression, or the way your baby curls up so perfectly.
These early days pass so quickly, but photographs allow you to hold onto them forever. From those sweet little outfits to the soft newborn features, every detail is worth remembering.
