Family Mini Session in Cloverdale, BC | Elizabeth Lang Photography


One of my recent family mini sessions featured a lovely family – Sharlyn, her husband, and their two beautiful children. These sessions are always such a joy because in a short amount of time we are able to capture so many meaningful moments together.



Their son was such a wonderful big brother. It was immediately clear how caring and protective he is of his little sister. Watching the two of them interact during the session was incredibly sweet. His younger sister, with her long golden curls, was full of personality and charm, and the two of them photographed beautifully together.

During a 20 minute family mini session we are able to capture a variety of images. For this session we photographed classic family portraits with everyone together, sweet sibling moments between brother and sister, and some special mommy and me portraits. I also love to include individual portraits of the children so parents have timeless images of each stage of their childhood.


This session was photographed on a classic white background in my Cloverdale studio. I love using a simple white backdrop because it creates a clean, timeless look that keeps the focus on the family. These portraits are perfect for sharing with family, displaying on your walls, or preserving in an album for years to come.

Mini sessions are a wonderful option for families who want updated portraits but prefer a shorter session. In just 20 minutes we can create a beautiful variety of images that capture your family as you are right now.


If you love these simple and timeless portraits, I will be offering Mommy and Me Mini Sessions on May 16th in my Cloverdale studio. These sessions are also 20 minutes long and are designed to celebrate the special connection between moms and their children. While the focus is on mom and the kids, dads are absolutely welcome to jump in for a few photos as well.
