How long does it take to edit your photos?


One of the most common questions I hear is, “How long will it take to get my photos?” I know how exciting it is to finish your session and start imagining the final images, so here’s exactly what you can expect.

After your session, I will send you a proof gallery. This is a collection of the best images from our time together, lightly edited so you can review them and choose your favourites. Once you’ve made your selections and let me know you are done choosing, your gallery officially enters the editing queue.

From there, I carefully edit each chosen image in my signature timeless and natural style. On average, editing takes about two weeks. However, I do allow a buffer of up to four weeks in case of unforeseeable situations such as family emergencies, holidays, or an unusually busy season. Galleries are always edited in the order they are received, to keep things fair for all clients. The faster you are able to pick your favourites the sooner you can expect your images back.

If you have a special event coming up -like a birthday party, baby shower, or wedding - and you’d like a rush on a few images, please let me know. I’m always happy to prioritize a small selection of photos so you have something beautiful to share in time for your celebration.

So the short answer is: most clients receive their final gallery within about two weeks of making their selections, with a maximum delivery time of four weeks.
