This August and September, I had the wonderful opportunity to set up at Cloverdale Market Days in downtown Cloverdale. Surrounded by the energy of local vendors, families, and the lively market atmosphere, I offered a taste of what Elizabeth Lang Photography is all about with my classic white mini sessions.

These were short and sweet, just 10 minutes each, giving families a chance to step into my style of photography at a special market price. I set up wood boards and soft white curtains right inside my tent, creating a timeless, bright backdrop that beautifully highlighted each family. The sessions were quick, fun, and a perfect way for parents to get a little glimpse of what a full session could look like.

Growing with Each Market

As this was my very first time attending a market as a photographer, I learned so much along the way. After my first event in August, I went back to September with a few changes that made a big difference:

  • I created a larger, more visible giveaway sign so people walking by could see it from across the path.
  • I added a spinner game at my booth—something interactive for kids and parents to enjoy while they stopped in.
  • I brought along a clothing rack with newborn props and baby dresses so families could touch, feel, and imagine what their own session might look like.

A Taster of What’s to Come

The market minis were such a joy. I loved connecting with families in person, sharing my passion for timeless photography, and giving a small glimpse of the magic that happens in a session.

It was really special to attend as a vendor after years of visiting the market with my own family. It's a great atmosphere! For me, Cloverdale Market Days were more than just two summer events—they were a chance to step out into the community, meet new faces, and invite families to celebrate their story through photography.

I can’t wait to return next season with new ideas, more connection, and even more beautiful memories captured right in the heart of Cloverdale.
