Christmas Minis 2025

Christmas minis in 2025 were extra special because I offered a few different options across several days and locations, giving families flexibility while still keeping everything cohesive, classic, and timeless. This season was busy, joyful, and full of meaningful moments, and I loved being able to photograph so many families in ways that suited their schedules and comfort levels.

This year I hosted one full day of longer 30-minute mini sessions in my studio. These sessions allowed a more relaxed pace and included two separate sets. Families were photographed on the couch with a Christmas room backdrop, creating that cozy, at-home holiday feel, and also at the table set against a Christmas mantle backdrop for a slightly more styled and traditional look. These longer sessions were perfect for families who wanted variety and a little extra time for young children to settle in.

Alongside those, I offered two days of classic 10-minute mini sessions. These shorter sessions are always popular and are designed to be efficient while still capturing genuine connection. With simple posing, gentle direction, and a calm environment, we were able to create beautiful holiday portraits quickly, which works especially well for families with busy schedules or little ones who do best in short bursts.

I also brought Christmas minis out into the community with a market day at the Adam's Road Market. For this event, I used the Christmas mantle backdrop paired with a bench, creating a festive yet practical setup that worked well in a busy market environment. These 5–10 minute sessions were quick, cheerful, and full of energy, capturing sweet holiday moments while families enjoyed everything the market had to offer.

Another highlight of the season was the Santa photos by donation fundraiser at Martha Currie Elementary School. These sessions were all about giving back while creating magical memories. We used a soft grey couch with a Christmas tree backdrop, keeping the setup neutral, cozy, and timeless so the focus stayed on the children’s expressions and their interaction with Santa. These sessions are always incredibly meaningful, and it’s an honour to be part of a community event that supports local families and schools.

Offering multiple formats this year meant families could choose what worked best for them, whether that was a relaxed studio experience, a quick and efficient mini, or a festive community event. No matter the length or location, the goal stayed the same: to create warm, classic Christmas portraits that families will treasure for years to come. Christmas minis continue to be one of my favourite parts of the year, and 2025 was a season I’ll always remember.
